A class outing on a sail boat is an unforgettable experience for children and youths. They enjoy first hand the pleasure of working together, of knowing that each individual is important to the group and the pride in accepting responsibility. And all this along with the wind and the waves and the invigorating sea air.

Anyone who has once experienced being "fallen dry"
in the middle of the Wadden Sea and watching the sea disappear beyond the horizon ? will remember this spectacular natural phenomena for the rest of his/her life.
Many youths (and girls) have been thus inflamed with the passion to one day become sailors ? or better yet, sea captains.

Today, most school classes consist of 25 pupils, or more, but the Zwadde sleeps only 19 maximum. Yet this is no problem: we will be happy to make all arrangements for a second ship. Actually, two ships are much more exciting: races can run, a welcoming for the last ship to reach port or anchor close to each other off the coast. In the event of one of the Wadden Sea?s famous "fall dry" the crews can actually walk over and visit the other ship!

The crews can exchange ships so that all members get to know both ships and experience some of the fine differences in sailing vessels ? not to mention having worked with all the other pupils.

Surplus sleeping places can be used by interested parents, teachers or class councilors. The most pleasant cruise ever organized by Skipper Gert Bakker was a school outing with a flotilla of eleven ships!
